Greek lawmakers approve austerity bill as Athens burns

“Vandalism, violence and destruction have no place in a democratic country and won’t be tolerated,”

Prime Minister Lucas Papademos

The level of ignorance/stupidity/wishful thinking that is exhibited; Repeatedly I might add, by those that would prefer to be “Masters” over the slaves, truly astounds me.

Ok Class, first question.

How is Democracy NOT Violence?   When 2 wolves and a sheep get to vote on  dinner and the sheep loses (every-time I might add) how can that not be construed as ‘a violent act’?

With that in mind, PM Papademos is already off track in understanding the WHY of how his country is burning.   He is so far off track as to why his country is going to be to be one of the tipping points towards the collapse of western civilization as we know it.

Now to give credit where credit is due (Oh yeah, The Greeks blew their credit) The promises made by those that are showing blatant ignorance, are starting to see the fruits of their labor coming full circle.  This is the same end result we will see here if the “spend yourself to prosperity” continues on. (I am laying my money on collapse first)  When you start to bribe the people with their own money, you eventually run out of it.   That is where Greece is at today.   The levels of ‘anarchy’ they are seeing currently are only the starting point of much bigger.   I can only hope that the birthplace of Reason can pull through this and reveal itself as a standard of knowledge again.

I kinda doubt that will happen though.   They never really recovered from being conquered by the Romans.

OK Second Question.    PM Papademos states “Will Not be Tolerated”.  Completely contradicting the first part of his statement and reinforcing my points as such.

HOW does one go about ‘not tolerating’ the very beast that you gave birth too?   There are a couple of ways of doing this; the first of which is not going to happen.  The first one and the most effective is for those ‘in power’ to relinquish said power.   Every good leader knows there is a time to get the hell out of the way and let the heavy hitters through to the front.  Of course, we don’t have very many Good Leaders in positions of power any longer.   Those that are good leaders are not making the headlines since they are not ‘news’ items.(RTWT   H/T to Claire)

What we have are power mongers, having risen through the ranks on promises of ‘posterity’, finding that austerity is the only option, vying to maintain ‘the status quo’ using terminally failed economic theories.

This is not a disease isolated to Greece or the EU.  This disease actually started in 1913 here on these shores.   What we are seeing is just one more symptom of that disease as it continues its way towards the final death throes.

I mentioned two ways out of this mess.  The second ‘solution’ is to create external strife of military encounter.   Seeing the levels of movement towards Iran within and without our shores, the constant level attrition attached to that state (to include the news items that are NOT mentioned upon these shores IE the gold banking system they are trying to set up) and the constant beating of the drums by Israel on one side and the Muslim backed groups on the other side: This is a scenario that may see play before the end of 2012.   At this stage of the game, its anyones guess how this will be played out, or to what level it would escalate.   There are too many nuclear powers with ‘skin in the game’ to keep it completely ‘conventional’ in the long run.   It really remains to be seen.

SO Athens burns, PM Papademos rages against Violence while threatening violence, The EU continues a slow smolder towards catastrophic melt down.  The US continues to flirt with War as the solution (both external and internal) and the divides between the races/classes continues its glacial drift towards civil war while we ‘spend our way to prosperity”.

Sounds like history is being written to me.    The Chinese really nailed that “may you live interesting times’ curse down pat, didn’t they?

We’re not even “allowed” to see the same thing happening right now in Italy due to media blackout. Then there’s Syria blacked out as well. Egypt and Libya getting ready for round two. Yep, need lotsa popcorn…

I can see the ‘blackouts’ spreading here soon. They can’t control the people but they can try to slow the spread of information as to what is really going on. It may slow the spread but it can’t stop it.

I never let my tank fall below half. Even when I was on the road to TX I would fill up when I hit that half mark.
There are a few other things I keep in the truck, just in case, believe it or not, my BOB is not one of them. (and that is sure to change here quickly.)

blast me, you know you want to.
